The Leeuwin Current is a warm ocean current that flows strongly southwards along the Western Australian coast before turning eastwards at Cape Leeuwin and continuing into the Great Australian Bight where its influence extends as far as Tasmania. This piece was inspired by the meeting of the warm Leeuwin and cool Capes Currents which meet at the southern most tip of Western Australia, Cape Leeuwin. |
